BRAIN DRILL Still Looking For New Drummer

Santa Cruz, California-based death metallers BRAIN DRILL have issued the following update:

"We are trying out new drummers!! Read this news update and hit us up if you would like to try out. What we are looking for is for any interested drummers to send us a video or MP3 of you playing 'Apocalyptic Feasting' as a tryout video/audio file (we would appreciate it more if it was a video though). You can post it on YouTube or just send it to us through email. We will be considering drummers who can flawlessly finish the song 'Apocalyptic Feasting' or at least with minimal fuck ups and can actually finish the entire song. We would prefer it if you are from the bay area in California or somewhere in California, but if you are in another part of the country that's fine. We are NOT going to fly you out here so please make sure you will be able to travel to California if you are serious about joining the band. Anyone who wants to try out will need to come to us. We are looking mostly for someone who can play our set, not the entire ten songs as we rarely play all ten songs live. We are also looking for someone who will be able to learn the new songs we are writing and enter the studio and record with us. We definitely need someone who has a driver's license, a car, no money problems and someone who will be able to tour for a few months when we get back out onto the road. So send us a video if you think you can hack it, and have proof to back it up."

BRAIN DRILL was formed in the summer of 2005 by Dylan Ruskin, whose next goal was to find a drummer that could actually play death metal and not just claim they could. Dylan ended up recruiting drummer Marco Pitruzzella, former drummer of VITAL REMAINS, VILE, VORNAGAR, ATROCIOUS HYSTERIA, NUMA, and a few other extreme metal bands. After a few months of jamming Steve Rathjen was then later put onto vocals. Rounding out the band was Jeff Hughell on bass who joined the band in the winter of 2006. With mind-blowing style and speed, inventing a 10-fingered tapping technique using a seven-string bass, and the song-learning capabilities of a genius it was quite obvious he was a perfect fit into this four-piece arsenal.
